The colour black makes every woman shine..
Arkanjia specializes in black clothing and apparel for women. In between Gothic and Classic, Arkanjia is for the independent and assertive modern woman who lives her life by her own rules. Arkanjia existed only while I was working on it, however, and served mostly to sharpen my CX skills.

An Ecommerce Experiment

Arkanjia was first and foremost a personal project to challenge myself. I sourced 200+ products and integrated them to the Shopify store, customized the theme and carefully chose add-ons to enhance the customer experience, not to mention additional work defining the branding, the tone and look & feel of Arkanjia.

Product Listing Page

Because product visuals are important, each product is represented by a thumbnail that takes as much real estate as possible. Desktop users get a second preview when they hover over each thumbnail. The product listing pages are paginated to avoid cognitive load if the products are too numerous.

Product Details Page

One of the challenges of selling online is the lack of proximity between the user and the product. Zoomable big pictures, a complete description, a smart size chart and a cart quick preview are basic considerations but best practices.

What's my Size?

Because it's impossible for users to try on clothes, picking the wrong size is always a bad possible experience for a user. In order to avoid returns as much as possible, I integrated a plug-in that automatically displays the right size (with several stretching factors) after users enter their measurements, for any clothing or shoes.
